What’s this? Blog number 2?!
Well here we go, another blog. Just thought I’d mention that we all have papers due soon. Anyone else finished their book yet? I did, but I don’t know if I want to write a paper on Huckelberry Finn. Sometimes I think that by writting these papers, the novels get overannalyzed and it hurts our interest in them. I really liked Huck Finn and I immagine I could write a paper on how it’s satirical towards the society of the time but honestly, I’m sick of writting papers about the author’s intended satire of the people of the time. I’m sick of writting about Victorian Society and it’s faults. 2 out of the 3 papers I’ve done have been about Society and it’s faults and it gets repetitive after awhile. I could try to look further into it and find something else that it’s theme is or something it has a strong element in but I can’t think of anything but the satire. Mr. Z, if you’re reading this, leave me a hint would you?
Anywho, I also wanted to say to Mr. Z that I will not let the Gargantua issue die until I have finished reading it, which may end up being never!
I’ll just constantly bug Connor about it and tell him how wrong he is! For anyone currious, Gargantua is pretty good so far, I’m not very far in it but it’s enjoyable. It’s a bit tough to read but nothing an AP student couldn’t handle, I know anyone in the class could handle it, we’re the best and the brightest! But it is very long, there are about 10 books to it, each holding a number of chapters and each chapter is a seperate section through Vade Mecum (or however it’s spelled)- in other words, it’s long.
Anywho, just thought I’d say I still think this is a good idea!
